Lucas Glover and Don Cooper Rivalry in April 2010

One of the remarkable views was represented by the April 2010 Augusta National golf tournament during which the spectators were able to observe the splendid rivalry between Lucas Glover and Don Cooper . Lucas Glover lost the battle for championship to his longtime caddie because of the inability to fight his feelings about the match, and to cope with his emotions. Glover even tossed things after unsuccessful shots, including balls, putter covers etc. According to Cooper’s comments, the problem of his rival was that he could not play on a high level of the tournament without overcoming those negative emotions accumulated in him after the bad start, so reasons for the loss were clearly psychological.

Looking at the way Glover helplessly fumed in response to his bad shots, I regretted the fact that I could not lend him some of my writing my dissertation or gcse coursework english on emotion management, as they would surely help him turn away from the troubles of the beginning, and concentrate on some good shots he managed to conduct. Having 6-over-par for the whole tournament, Glover still had some success during the match – he had several birdies at holes 8, 9, 12, and 13, but them had a 6-iron second shot to the par-5 15 to three feet. Finally, this uneven game brought him to the even par result. Nonetheless, bogeys at holes 16 and 18 did their business, and Glover still enters the fourth round of the tournament being 14 shots behind the leader, Lee Westwood.
